The Hawks continued their upward trajectory in the 1993 season, finishing sixth with a 15-11 record. Under the guidance of new coach Alan Black, the team made another playoff appearance but were again swept in the quarterfinals, this time by Melbourne.

 

Melvin Thomas emerged as the team's MVP, playing a crucial role in the Hawks' success. The season showed that the Hawks were becoming a consistent playoff contender.
